Sub-Intervention on Churchill

Antonia and I held our own mini-intervention to contribute more footage to the project visual response. Some of that was included, but we filmed so much that day that didn't fit into the main short film. So, I have put this together in a short montage to post here on the blog just to show this facet of the project.

We visited the Churchill War Rooms (and were asked to leave!), the Imperial War Museum, and the Churchill memorial in Parliament Square, holding A3 images of the suffering caused my Churchill in the Bengal famine.

This was inspired by our research into how nostalgia whitewashes the historical narrative. We focused on Churchill because he is exalted in British history, but you would never see his war crimes on the school curriculum too? This is shown in parts of our found footage in the main video, but here is the rest of what we filmed!
here is a mini low quality version, I have posted it higher resolution on youtube: https://youtu.be/A-4NhrXKqz0
