Premier in Berlin

I showed the film at the academy that I currently attend over the summer in Berlin, Germany. The film was well received from the 20 or so people that attended. The discussions afterwards were particularly interesting because it was a very international crowd and so most of the references especially in the first part were not picked up on. What I found most interesting though was that the crowd, although they didn't connect to the references still understood the narrative and in some cases were moved by the film and in other cases were really provoked into fascinating conversation of how nostalgia effects they're everyday lives too. It was a really great experience to sit in a room full of people and watch the reactions to the film and see that the intervention really worked and affected the kind of change of perspective in peoples lives that we were intending to elicit.
