Film Footage
After writing my earlier blog post and revisiting one of my favourite bits of film footage of all time (purely because of how much no one gives a fuck about what any one else is doing and are just dancing away in their own worlds) I discovered that the channel that posted it actually has a wealth of film footage that I've just been down a YouTube hole of.
I was focusing a lot on the ones shot in London after being inspired by Sam's blog post. I relate to it so much and weirdly find that when I look out over the London skyline, all the nostalgia, from spending some of the best times of my teenage years all over the city, hits me at once. It's actually a bit overwhelming sometimes, in a melancholy but kind of lovely way.
These videos are quite old so I'm going to try to find some slightly more recent footage but is ideally shot on film or something that's quite grainy. Low quality camcorder footage definitely has a nostalgic vibe to it. Maybe we could get hold of some of our own videos from growing up?
1968 Anti American Peace Protest (The political protest footage could be interesting)
